What we are looking at in the
picture above is a restaurant/take out place in the making at 399 Park Avenue
in Manhattan. With the help of SWA, this
place will be coming soon from the group that brought you Blue Dog Café. Not much information is available on this location
but when this place is up and running this blog will be the first to bring you
the finished product. Stay tuned for
next week’s projects, all done by SWA Architecture, PLLC.

Costata
What’s a week without talking about a restaurant by Chef
Michael White? We are back to Costata,
but this time we get a view of the inside.
We last wrote about this restaurant when it was opening. Now it has been open for approximately five
weeks, and business could not be better.
The restaurant consists of three floors, the first and second being for
regular dining and the third floor is for private dining.
Our first picture shows the first floor. Right off the bat you get hit with beautiful art
and an ambiance that suggests sophistication.
In the photo below, you can view a bar that is on your left as you walk
into the first floor. Together the
restaurant hits a class that most other restaurants strive to reach.
2nd Floor
As we move to the second floor it is more like the first with
the art work and red theme that goes throughout the restaurant. Also like the first floor, there is a bar
with an open area to have a cocktail or two.
Also on display is the large wine closet, as can be seen by the image
below.
If you live in Manhattan, take a stroll downtown and check
out Costata, you will be in for a fine evening of dining.

The Smoke Joint
Welcome to the Smoke Joint.
This finger lickin’ barbeque restaurant is a must go for anyone in the
Brooklyn area. With the help of SWA
Architecture, the Smoke Joint has a great atmosphere with fall off the bone
ribs. Fort Greene, a neighborhood known
for their culture and food, does not skip a beat with this eatery. Even celebrity chef Guy Fieri has stopped by
for his show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives-
http://www.foodnetwork.com/videos/the-smoke-joint/113309.html. If he’s impressed, I’m sure you will be
too.
Moving up north to Williamsburg we find ourselves with a
beautiful building designed by SWA. On the
corner of Lorimer and Metropolitan it’s hard to miss this beauty. With a beautiful balcony overlooking
Williamsburg, this hot spot will definitely be a nice place to grab a couple
drinks and possibly even meet somebody.

Costata
The Butterfly
No pun intended, but we at SWA topped ourselves with the
rooftop design at 120 West 21st Street in Chelsea. As the photo illustrates, the project is
still undergoing construction but soon will be a beautiful addition for all
residents. With a clear view of both the
freedom tower and empire state building, this building would be a nice place
for anyone to reside at.
Costata
One of our premiere clients has just opened up a restaurant
and if you haven’t been there yet I have one question for you. When are we going? From Altamarea Group, with famous celebrity
chef Michael White, comes there fifth Manhattan restaurant. Located in New York’s SoHo neighborhood at
206 Spring Street, Chef Michael White brings a twist as he always does to
classic dining.
Costata caters to all meat lovers, providing excellent aged
dry meat. Costata means rib eye in Italian,
so this steak house will bring the flavor to the table. You can make your own course, with delicious
house made pastas on the side. Make your
reservation quick because this place will be heating up in no time.
The Butterfly
Lastly, we have another Altamarea Group restaurant on the
way. This will be the sixth Manhattan
restaurant from the ever growing group, and as you can see by the picture,
Butterfly still has a ways to go. But don’t
be fooled start planning ahead because like all Michael White joints, this
place will book up quick. Teaming up
with a mixologist, this place will provide more of a bar atmosphere then
Altamarea groups previous restaurants.
Swinging high in Tribeca, Michael will show his array of talents as he
steps away from his Italian focus and provides American bar classics. It cannot open up soon enough!
