Hello and welcome back to a bonus edition of the SWA Architecture Weekly blog post. Where we take a look at all different projects that SWA Architecture has worked on. We are continuing our pizza themed week and giving you a beautiful bonus post. This post we will be focusing on the restaurant Lombardi's.
Lombardi's is located in the heart of Little Italy at 32 Spring Street, Manhattan. Lombardi's was founded in 1905, making it the first pizzeria in the United States. To this day Lombardi's still offers its beautiful, smoky-crusted coal oven baked pizza, topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil, keeping locals and visitors alike coming back.
SWA Architecture are the architects, planners and expediters of this beautiful spot. More specifically, we redesigned the layout and obtained place of assembly permits for the main floor and the rooftop seating. The rooftop are the pictures below. So if you have a craving for pizza, Lombardi's should be the your place to go.
That's it for pizza week at the SWA Architecture blog. Stay tuned next week as we take some more deep dives into some beautiful projects. Give us a follow on instagram if you haven't already - @swa_architecture
