Hello and welcome to an all new SWA Architecture blog coming your way.  For all you first timers to this wonderful SWA Architecture blog we like to cover all the projects of note that SWA Architecture has been a part of.  SWA Architecture is one of the most highly regarded architecture firms in New York City with an office located in Manhattan.  But we also do projects all over the East coast and do all different types of projects.

On to what we are here to talk about today.  As you can tell by the photos we are looking at Princi Bakery, located at 1633 Broadway in Manhattan.  In the heart of midtown, this is a bakery from Rocco Princi, a famous baker from Italy who has brought his baking goodness here to the United States.  Rocco is obsessed with perfection, and gets the finest ingredients to the all the lovely food we get to eat.

SWA Architecture was brought on by Starbucks corporation to design the open air cafe seen in the pictures and rendering.  More specifically, we are the architects, designers, expediters and zoning consultants for the existing open air cafe.  We picked everything down to selecting the street furniture.  As can be seen in one of the renderings below.  We loved working with these clients and hope to do something again with them soon.

Hello and welcome back to a special Friday rolling blog coming your way fresh from SWA Architecture.  For all you first timers to this blog we like to cover all different sorts of projects that SWA Architecture has been a part of.  SWA Architecture is a very reputable architecture firm located in Manhattan and overlooks projects all over the East coast.

This post we want to take a look at a project we have previously looked at.  Sort of.  Let me explain.  So right around last thanksgiving we showed you a project that was in the design phase.  The post showed you a rendering of what we hoped to erect in upper Manhattan.  It was going to be a huge 14 story multi use building.  Problem was, the community did not much appreciate a building coming in and blocking their views. But, like a great architecture firm, after meeting with community and city agencies we decided to go with a building that is lower and would not obstruct these nice views across the Hudson river.

We are a very malleable firm in the sense that we can change to whatever the client needs us to be.  SWA Architecture are the architects, planners, designers, zoning and code experts for this project.  This is the third project with this client.  Another project we have done with them is 4 St Marks, which we have previously blogged about.  The pictures above and below show the project getting ready for construction.

SWA Architecture Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome back to the one and only SWA Architecture weekly blog.  The only architecture blog like it.  This weekly blog is intended to give you an inside peak into some wonderful projects that SWA Architecture has been a part of.  We are located in Manhattan and Long Island and do all different types of projects throughout the east coast.  

This week let’s explore a different kind of project that we have worked on.  The pictures are showing you a US Census Bureau building, located at 1709 St. Marks Avenue, Brooklyn.  This is our third US Census Bureau building from General Service Administration.  

With the next US Census coming in 2020, they have to get situated all over our beautiful United States of America.  SWA Architecture are the architects, planners and expediters for all three locations we have been so happy to work on.

Hello and welcome back to an all new special Friday rollin' blog coming your way from SWA Architecture.  Earlier this week we took a look at a new beautiful building being erected at 86 Delancey.  This special post is giving you an update on a project we looked at about a month ago.

I am of course speaking of the project located at 12 W 19th Street.  Last time we took a look this project it was just beginning the undergoing its restoration.  As you can tell by the photos now it still has a long way to go but it coming along very nicely.

This project is located in the "Ladies Mile" district.  For those of you unaware of what this district is, here is a brief refresher on the subject.  The "Ladies Mile" was a prime shopping district in Manhattan at the end of the 19th century, serving well to do 'carriage trade' of the city.  It extends roughly 15th street to 24th street and from park avenue south to west of 6th Avenue.

SWA Architecture are the architects, interior designers, expediters and landmarks architects for this historical building.  This is our first job with this client and hope to do more with them in the future.  This is our sixth project with Streamline Worldwide General Contractors.  We have a great relationship with this contracting company.  Lastly, this is our third project in the "Ladies Mile" district and we are very proud of all of them.

SWA Architecture Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome back to the SWA Architecture weekly blog.  We have had some scorching hot posts this summer and we want to keep it rolling with this bad boy.  For those of you new to this blog what took you so long?  In all seriousness this blog gives an inside perspective on some wonderful projects that SWA Architecture has worked on.

From time to time we like to check back in to big projects that we have previously posted about.  This week we check back in to 86 Delancey.  Check out that view from the picture above.  Not too shabby.  We late looked at this project at the end of April and it has come a long way from there.  Now as you can see the walls are being put up, yet we still have a ways to go.  This is our fourth time here and this project will be a part of the new Delancey Street Redevelopment.

This is our eighth project with this client.  The biggest compliment and validation for a job well done is when the client comes back for another project.  It looks like we're doing a great job.  SWA Architecture is responsible for the architecture, expediting and design for this ground up multi use building.  We always like to highlight that one of our architects, Sergio Ali, Under saw everything that went into this project.

Hello and welcome back to the SWA Architecture weekly blog.  The blog like no other where we take a look at all the wonderful projects SWA Architecture has been a part of.  Earlier this week we took a look at one of our biggest clients spots in Times Square, McDonalds.  This special Friday rollin' post we are going to change it up a bit.

Usually we like to focus on one project per post but this time we're going to look at a bunch of projects with one thing in common between them.  The commonality? They all are located on Court Street in Brooklyn!  More specifically in Cobble Hill, a beautiful area of Brooklyn.  

Over the years we have done a lot of projects on this street and would love to share them with you.  As you will see with the photos below they all vary in scope.  SWA Architecture did interior work on some, exterior work on others, sidewalk cafe for a couple and are responsible for the architecture, planning and design for most.
