SWA Architecture Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome back to an all new SWA Architecture weekly blog coming your way.  If this is your first time here what we like to do is show projects all around New York City that SWA Architecture has been a part of.  More specifically, if you didn't check out our projects last week go check them out because this post is only going to build on our last one.

What we mean is that in our last post we talked about two bars with the same owner, and this post we will be talking about two more bars with that same owner!  This week we take a look at Mickey Spillane's, located at 350 W 49th Street, and Diva Bar Lounge located at 667 10th Avenue.  As you can tell all the bars are located in Hell's Kitchen so if you are there you should do a little bar crawl and check them all out.

For both locations SWA Architecture are the architects, designers, expediters and sidewalk cafe architects.  Like we previously stated, this is our eighth project with this owner over a twenty year span.  We always like when a client comes back to us for another project, validating the good work we put in.

That's it for this weeks SWA Architecture weekly blog.  Stay tuned for another post to come your way later this week.  Also, as always don't forget to follow us on instagram - @swa_architecture to see all the special projects we have done!

SWA Architecture Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome back to a special Friday rolling SWA Architecture blog.  The blog like no other where we cover projects that SWA Architecture has been a part of.  Last post we updated you on one of our bigger projects that is close to being complete.  If you haven't read up on it go check it out!

This week we are focusing on two bars, Mr. Biggs and Vodka Soda & Bottoms Up.  Mr. Biggs is located at 596 10th Avenue in Manhattan and Vodka Soda & Bottoms Up is located at 315 W 46th Street.  What do they have in common?  They are owned by the same group.  Mr. Biggs is a casual bar great for a hot summer day.  Vodka Soda & Bottoms Up hot night club that's very popular.

SWA Architecture are the architects, planners, designers and building department expediters for both locations.  In addition, we were the architects for the sidewalk cafe for Mr. Biggs.  This is our eighth project with these clients.  We have worked with them for over 20 years and we love working with them!

That's it for this weeks SWA Architecture weekly blog.  Stay tuned next week we will also be posting about two more places from these owners.  Follow us on instagram - @swa_architecture to see all the unique projects we have written about!

SWA Architecture Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome back to an all new fresh SWA Architecture weekly blog coming your way on this beautiful Tuesday.  If this is your first time with us what took you so long?  We forgive you but here is what this blog is about.  We like to cover the unique and wonderful projects that SWA Architecture has had the pleasure to be a part of.

Today we are updating you on one of our biggest projects to date.  Located at 86 Delancey, this building complex is one you won't want to miss.  We last saw this location a month ago and it has made tremendous strides towards being completed.

As we have previously stated, this is our eight project with this client.  We are most definitely going to do more projects with them with having such a rapport.  SWA Architecture is responsible for the architecture, expediting and design for this ground up multi use building.  We always like to highlight that one of our senior architects, Sergio Ali, under saw everything for this project.

Thats it for this weeks SWA Architecture weekly blog.  Stay tuned for later this week when we hit you with a whole batch of cool projects.  Follow us on instagram - @swa_architecture to see all the projects we've done in one spot.

SWA Architecture Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome back to the SWA Architecture weekly blog.  On this very special Friday rolling post we're going to continue Little Italy week.  If you missed our first post for Little Italy week go back and check it out!

This post will focus on two more spaces in Little Italy, Lombardi's and nice lobby adjacent to the restaurant Ferraras.  Lombardi's has been a family owned and operated pizza restaurant since 1905.  They credit themselves as the first New York style pizza slice. With the finest and freshest ingredients, I would highly recommend this spot for a nice slice.

The next spot is a simple lobby we did.  We did this under the same ownership as Ferrara's.  We were the architects, designers and expediter not just of the lobby you can see in the pictures but other parts of the building as well.  For Lombardi's we were the architects and expediters for their authorization for the existing restaurant.  Enough of the architect speak lets go eat!

That'll do it for this Friday rolling blog from SWA Architecture.  Stay tuned next week for another batch of great projects to come your way.  Give us a follow on instagram -@swa_architeture to see all the projects in one interactive place!

SWA Architecture Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome back to an all new SWA Architecture weekly blog coming your way.  For all you first timers here is what we do here.  This blog covers all the diverse projects we have been a part of. SWA Architecture is a mid sized architecture firm based out of Manhattan.

La Mela

This week we are going to change it up a bit and show you some projects that we have worked on with a common theme.  That theme, is Little Italy.  This week will Little Italy week, where all the projects shown this week are located in the heart of Little Italy.  This post we take a look at the wonderful restaurants, La Mela and Rubirosa.  Both are dynamite restaurants, La Mela is located at 167 Mulberry Street and Rubirosa 235 Mulberry street.  They are in walking distance of each other so might as well hit both on day!

Rubirosa

For La Mela, SWA are the architects, designers and expediters.  For Rubirosa, it is slightly more complicated.  We were architects, designers and expediters for the previous restaurant, American Grill and  have done 3 projects for the previous owner.  When the new owner bought the space that is now known as Rubirosa, we redesigned it to what it is today.  If you go there at lunchtime, don't be surprised to see a celebrity!

That's it for this week's SWA Architecture weekly blog.  Stay tuned later this week when we continue the Little Italy week with some gems to come your way.  Give us a follow on instagram - @swa_archtiecture to see all the wonderful projects we have worked on.
